Marrakech is Morocco's most famous city, a whirl of colour and noise. The heart is Jemaa el-Fnaa square, filled with storytellers, musicians and food stalls after dark.
Around it, the souks sell everything from lamps to spices, and peaceful gardens and palaces offer a break from the bustle.
