Agadir is Morocco's main beach resort, with a long, sandy bay, a palm-lined promenade and modern hotels, and over 300 days of sun a year.
It was rebuilt after a 1960 earthquake, so it's modern rather than historic, but good for winter sun and surfing in nearby Taghazout.
