Questions people ask

Do British citizens need a visa for Europe?

No. You can stay up to 90 days in any 180 in the Schengen area without a visa. The EU's ETIAS travel authorisation will be needed once it starts.

Does visa-free mean no paperwork at all?

Not always. Some countries need a passport valid for 6 months, a return ticket or proof of funds. Check each country's guide.

Does this apply to other British passports?

This list is for British citizen passports. BN(O), British Overseas Territories and other British passport types can have different rules.
