Visas & entry
Türkiye: no visa, but check your passport
No visa needed for British citizens for up to 90 days in any 180. The catch is that your passport must be valid for at least 150 days after you arrive, which is stricter than Europe's rule.

- Visa on arrival
- Visa in advance
The 150-day rule surprises people who've just used the same passport for Spain. Check yours before booking. Other British passport types, such as BN(O), need a visa.

At the border
- British citizens can stay up to 90 days in any 180 without a visa.
- Your passport must have 150 days left from the day you arrive.
- Your passport needs a blank page for the entry stamp.
- Ignore e-visa websites that tell you to pay. British citizens don't need one for tourism.
Staying longer
If you want to stay more than 90 days, you need a residence permit from the Turkish immigration authority before your visa-free time runs out. Overstaying brings a fine and can lead to an entry ban.

- Passport needs 1 blank page.
- Emergency number: 112.
