Visas & entry
Thailand: the new 30-day rule
Visa-free entry for UK tourists is now 30 days, down from 60, from 15 September 2026. Everyone also needs a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), filled in online up to 3 days before arrival.

If you're planning a long trip round Southeast Asia, the new limit matters. You'll need the right visa before you go, or to apply for an extension with Thai immigration if you're eligible. Some British nationals have been refused entry for not showing an onward ticket or enough money.
