Rhodes is one of the sunniest islands in Greece, with a long season from April to October. Its old town, built by the Knights of St John, is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe.
Lindos, with its white village and acropolis above a beautiful bay, is the other highlight. Beaches range from busy resorts to quieter coves on the east coast.
