Hurricanes and travel insurance
Most Mexico trips in hurricane season are unaffected, and storms are tracked days ahead. Buy travel insurance when you book, and check it covers natural disasters and missed connections. If a hurricane warning is issued, follow your hotel's and the local authorities' instructions.
Before you go
- Check sargassum forecasts before choosing a beach hotel.
